Smartphone using CAAC-IGZO® technology wins 2019 R&D 100 Award*

Smartphone using c-axis aligned crystal indium-gallium-zinc oxide (CAAC-IGZO) technology (e. g., AQUOS R2 and AQUOS R2 compact) has received 2019 R&D 100 Award. The CAAC-IGZO technology was co-developed by SEL and Sharp Corporation. The products with CAAC-IGZO displays realize long battery life, high-resolution display, and smooth operation.

The R&D 100 Awards Banquet was held on December 5th, in San Mateo, California.
