Chairman Yamazaki received Rustum Roy Lecture Awardy

Chairman Yamazaki has received the Rustum Roy Lecture Award* by The American Ceramic Society (ACerS)*. It is awarded to individuals who have made a significant contribution to science, industry or government, either in USA or internationally. The award winner gives a lecture in an annual meeting of ACerS in October.



The award ceremony (October 7) and award lecture (October 8) were held at the ACerS 126th Annual Meeting concurrently with MS&T24 (Materials Science & Technology24) held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA from October 6 to 9. Yamazaki gave a lecture “Proposal of oxide ceramic LSI device for putting the brakes on global warming accelerated by AI-age computers” as the Rustum Roy Lecture.

*The American Ceramic Society (ACerS) is a non-profit organization established in 1898 for the ceramics community in Westerville, Ohio. ACerS comprises more than 9,500 members including a wide variety of scientists, engineers, researchers, manufacturers, plant personnel, educators, students, marketing and sales professionals from more than 70 countries. ACerS supports ceramics technology innovations by providing forums such as technical meetings or committee to connect individuals working in ceramic-related fields and with the intensive and various communities.

*Rustum Roy Lecture is an annual lecture of ACerS, honors the late Professor Rustum Roy of The Pennsylvania State University, and recognizes his contributions to science and technology and society. It is one of highly expected lectures in ACerS. The Rustum Roy committee determines the award winner for each year. The lecture is given in an annual meeting of ACerS and is open to the public and no meeting registration is required to attend.
